Finally Got the Blog Set Up!!!!!
It took a while for me to set my blog up from the office as the computer i was working on was preventing me from accessing my blog because the Java/ Cookie "thing" had to be disabled, so after days of failure i decided to set it up from my home CPU!
I am a bit behind and need to catch up.
One question regarding blogs which i am sure that others may have been thinking the same thing. Is there a blog facility where only persons with a password can read blogs e.g. should a group be set up and I only wanted group members to read the blogs. This issue wold probably present itself later eapecially if the groups wanted to discuss sensitive issues pertaining to a specific project.
The question is open for discussion!

Hi Mike -thanks for getting your blog/log set up.
Good question about blogs. You can have password protected blogs or sets of blogs. The Open Source Drupal platform, for example, allows you to do that. (You either have to find a host or host it on your server.) I *think* you can have password protected blogs on blogger, but I'd have to check that.
The main issue with password protected blogs is you are either going to host them yourself or pay a small fee.

I had a look at the other blog site (Wordpress, but it appears to be very unattractive and does not offer many features like Blogspot does. I was still not able to find the info i was looking for regarding the passwords that would allow only members of the group to be able to access the blog. I will keep looking.
If any one out there in cyber land knows how, drop me line.

How can I password protect my blog?
We do not currently offer a password protection service for Blog*Spot blogs. However, if you host your blog on your own server you may be able to do this, since many hosting providers include this service. Check with your system administrator for information on how to set it up.

Thanks alot for the info Laticher. I will call our administrator today.
I had a look at the Wordpress site, but it does not seem to offer that facility.
I do think that is is important to allow only your group members to access your group blog when discussing sensitive issues.
